Dr. Joseph Warren dispatched Paul Revere and William Dawes to ride into the countryside to warn of British plans to arrest Sam Adams and John Hancock, as well as their intentions to capture powder and artillery in Concord. The events that ensued, and the blood in which was shed, would be a no-turning-back point for America’s efforts to gain independence.
